Just the Facts, Ma'am omg, can u believe it? The gossip at Elmvale High School has hit fever pitch. Somebody spray-painted “Nickel Sucks” on one of the teacher’s cars, and everybody’s pointing the finger at Jason King. Mr. Nickel teaches English, and he’s not all that popular with the kids. His gradetheteacher.ca page says he’s a tough marker who’s a stickler for grammar. It also says he’s a good teacher and kids learn a lot in his class. Jason might not agree with that. Yesterday, Mr. Nickel handed back Jason’s take home exam, and Jason got a D because he handed it in 4 days late. You see, Mr. Nickel only gives extensions with a doctor’s note. The trouble is that it’s Jason’s mom and not Jason who’s been sick, and Jason hasn’t wanted to tell anyone. So instead he made up a cock-and-bull story about the dog eating his computer. Mr. Nickel, with a great nose for a lie, didn’t buy it. But Jason pushed it in class, and Mr. Nickel had to tell him to sit down and be quiet. That night, after working late on report cards, Mr. Nickel found his “newly decorated” car in the parking lot. The damage was over $1,000 so Mr. Nickel had to call the police for insurance purposes. And when Ms. Gordon, the Vice Principal, heard about it, she hit the roof! So everyone’s talking about Jason, Mr. Nickel and Mr. Nickel’s windshield. Your job is to keep your ears open, and find out what you can about who did what to whom. Watch each of the videos on the Scenarios page, and after each video, use the Whodunit Investigation Sheet to record your observations. |
