Answer
the following questions, from the point of view of the character
you’ve chosen. 1. Did Jason spray paint the car? What evidence do you have to support your conclusion? 2. After reading the MSN conversation, what do you think of Jason? Would you say he’s a good kid or not? Why? 3. After reading the MSN conversation, what do you think of Emma? Would you say she’s a good kid or not? Why? 4. How will what you’ve read effect the way you treat Jason and Emma in the future? Why? 5. When Emma, Jason, Asma and Jenna were talking on MSN, they didn’t expect anyone could overhear them. Would it have been better for you if you hadn’t read the conversation? Would your answer change if you were certain that Jason did not spray paint the car? Answer the following question from your own point of view. 6. Sealed letters that arrive by regular mail are considered “private”. In fact, under the Canada Post Corporation Act http://www.canlii.org/ca/sta/c-10/sec48.html http://www.canlii.org/ca/loi/c-10/art48.html, someone who opens mail is guilty of an offence and can be sent to prison for up to 5 years http://www.canlii.org/ca/sta/c-10/sec60.html http://www.canlii.org/ca/loi/c-10/art60.html. Most people would agree that it would be inappropriate for Vice Principal Gordon to open Emma’s regular mail. Was it appropriate for the Vice Principal to print off the MSN log, or should it be considered private too? Why or why not? 7. Want to know if you’re right about Jason? Ask your teacher to tell you who actually spray painted Mr. Nickel’s car and why... |
