James Wishart

James Wishart is an LLB candidate in the English
Common Law program at University of Ottawa. His background is in the
history of medicine, where he earned an M.A. and most of a PhD. at
Queen’s University. James is interested in intersections of law and
medicine, with respect to regulation and distribution of new medical
technology, medical ethics, social engineering, and population health.
He has published articles on the history of nursing and the political
economy and history of hospitals. Currently, James is carrying out
research on the medical uses of RFIDS and on personal health
information privacy legislation.
