She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors English and American Literature and Political Science; magna cum laude) from Brown University, a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School (cum laude), a Master of Arts (English Literature) from the University of Toronto, a Master of Laws from Dalhousie University and is a doctoral candidate in English Literature at Dalhousie University.
