Jeremy Hessing-Lewis and Byron Thom to present on the dangers of social networking to high schools PDF Print
IDTrail team members Jeremy Hessing-Lewis and Byron Thom will be presenting on the dangers of social networking to local high school classes.  The presentation, part of the Ontario Public Legal Education Initiative (OPLEI), will focus on online privacy as well as informing teenagers of potential threats such as sexual predators, bullying, and archival legacies.  The goal will be to emphasize the current lack of legal and enforcement safeguards thereby reinforcing the message that they are ultimately responsible for their own safety.  Many thanks to the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario as well as Facebook for preparing handouts.
