Uruszula Galster
LL.M Candidate (Law & Technology), Faculty of Law, University of Ottawa

Research

Uruszula is working to provide Internet users with a comprehensible guide to basic privacy concepts in the form of a glossary and an annotated compendium of privacy resources.

The glossary will emphasize terms with more of a legal flavour (e.g. information privacy), but will also include those of a technical nature (e.g. cookies). With respect to the former category Uruszula am looking at the way courts have defined and interpreted the terms in addition to meanings attributed by academia. The intent is for the glossary to fit into the legal-philosophical context, but at the same time for it to be a user-friendly resource.

The annotated compendium will be geared to the average Internet user. It is hoped to be a helpful tool of research and provide the user with the access to information in selective categories of web sites (e.g. employment or health privacy).
